NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old former Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) employee allegedly committed suicideat his home in Khatweda village near Bawana in outer Delhi on Thursday night after recording a video of his dying declaration on his mobile phone in which he blamed one of his friends named Pappu for not returning the money he had borrowed.

Police say that the man identified as Sanjay Kumar was found hanging from a ceiling fan by his neighbours. Local told the police that Kumar lived alone after his wife had divorced him a few years ago.

Local who had rendered his house found the 1 minute 15 seconds video footage in which Kumar had blamed the man for usurping Rs 60 lakh which he had borrowed in 2014. In the allegations, Kumar says that the amount was part of the compensation money which he had got from the government against a piece of land that was acquired some years ago. He claimed that Pappu had forced him to commit suicide. A case of abetment to suicide was registered against Pappu.
